Your stickers are derivative works! Just like you cannot take the Coco-Cola logo and remix it slightly and claim copyright over it, so it is with this case. End of the matter.

Actually you are stealing his artwork because you are violating the license!

GPL only applies to source code and if not otherwise given, also to artwork.
Since he gave another license for the artwork the GPL license doesn't apply and therefore you got no right to publish derivates.

Next time, better read the license before getting into legal trouble.

And another thing: You're not allowed to change the license to by-sa, too.

That license for that work is no more legitimate than "copyright all rights reserved". It is a itself a derivative work of an image under the GNU, a license that REQUIRES that derivate works be released under a same or similar license that allows derivative works. So, yea, read the license before you go ignorantly slapping labels on things.

teacher ... I know that GNU and therefore did not publish it that way ... I always use Creative Commons by-nc-nd, which is not derivative works NOT copy ... non-GNU ... do not confuse GNU Creative Commons by-nc-nd has nothing to do is GNU software and Creative Commons by-nc-nd is artwork ...
I hope it is clear ... not derived ... my artwork
Read this page ...

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/deed.en

My software is GNU ... not my artwork!

do not confuse the GPL with CHD who have nothing to do with the other ...

be original and create your own artwork and label the license you want ... but I do not accept my works derived from
